  • OSCE Academy hosts OSCE-organized Young Women 4 Peace Initiative for Central Asia

    On 16-19 April 2024, the OSCE Academy hosted training sessions within the Young Women for Peace Initiative for Central Asia, a two-year OSCE programme designed to empower young women in Central Asia and enhance their involvement in peace and security processes. The programme is organized by the OSCE Gender Issues Programme with the financial support of the European Union.

  • OSCE Academy and Kyrgyzpatent forge Partnership

    On 16 April 2024, the Director of the OSCE Academy Dr. Kate Walker, and the Director of the State Agency of Intellectual Property and Innovation under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyzpatent) Rakhat Kerimbaeva signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

  • Success Story: Ryan Michael Schweitzer, Politics and Security '2021

    In 2023, Ryan was accepted into Harvard University for the Master's degree programme in Islamic Studies. At Harvard, Ryan focuses on Islam and Identity in Central Asia, particularly how Islam is shaping modern culture and nationhood in the region. Working on his second Master's degree at Harvard University, Ryan exemplifies the pursuit of scholarly excellence

  • Alumni Chapter Meetings: Strengthening Alumni Network

    On 03 April and 07 April 2024, Alumni Chapter Meetings were held in Astana, Kazakhstan, and Dushanbe, Tajikistan, respectively. The gatherings were joined by Dr. Kate Walker, Director of the OSCE Academy, and Dr. Anja Mihr, MAHRS Academic Supervisor, and served as platforms for alumni from different graduating years to network and exchange ideas.

  • Open House Days for Prospective BA Students

    On 15 and 29 March 2024, the OSCE Academy held online and in-person Open House Days for prospective students of the BA programme in Economics. The online event was conducted via Zoom, gathering applicants from Central Asian countries, Mongolia, and Afghanistan. An in-person open house was attended by Bishkek-based applicants and their parents.
