Academic Calendar 2017-2018

The academic year of the Master of Arts in Politics and Security Programme (Central Asia) is divided into four semesters:

• Fall Semester, 1 Sep, 2017 - 22 Dec, 2017
• Winter Semester, 8 Jan, 2018 - 27 Apr, 2018
• Spring Semester, 7 May, 2018 - 29 Jun, 2018
• Research work, 2 Jul, 2018 - 24 Aug, 2018
• Fall Semester,  27 Aug, 2018 - 21 Dec, 2018

Fall, Winter, Spring Semesters
Students take full-term and modular courses. All full-time courses are required courses. Modular courses can be required or elective. Additionally, students attend colloquium and various non-credit lecturers and seminars. 

Fall Semester
Students defend their MA thesis proposals at the final Colloquium, fulfill their internships, conduct research, and write their MA theses and take Comprehensive State Exams, which includes Final exams on major subjects and MA thesis defense.
