The OSCE Academy would like to draw attention to the fact that recently, a former student has publicly, as well as directly to several institutions, spread allegations of violation of the Charter of the Academy and accused its management of corruption. The OSCE Academy’s staff and students have committed to a code of conduct, to be respected by all. The OSCE Academy is accountable to the OSCE’s 57 participating States and depends on the funding provided by them. The OSCE takes extremely seriously any allegations of violation of rules, discrimination or corruption and has activated well-established procedures in response to the above-mentioned allegations that will provide further assurance on the correct and efficient use of the Academy’s resources. In parallel, The Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the OSCE Academy has conducted a preliminary inquiry into the implementation of the obligations set by the Charter of the OSCE Academy concerning the admission and the expulsion of students, which did not show any deviation from applicable procedures.
