On January 17, 2017, the OSCE Academy in Bishkek and the Brussels Journal of International Studies (University of Kent) signed the Memorandum of Cooperation establishing partnership between organizations.

The Academy’s representatives participated in the international round table on “New challenges in the OSCE region: civil support of the process of Austria’s OSCE Chairmanship in 2017” held at the Caucasus International University in Tbilisi, Georgia.
The programme was developed and taught by Dr Nuria Kutnaeva, alumna of the OSCE Academy of 2005 and Dr Aijarkyn Kojobekova.
Between 19 and 22 December 2016 staff members of the Academy had a working visit to the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) in Oslo, Norway, one of the major partners and donors of the OSCE Academy.
The students received their Diplomas signed by the Head of the OSCE Centre in Bishkek, H. E. Ambassador Dr Pierre Von Arx and Acting Director of the Academy, Ms Indira Satarkulova.
On 8 December 2016, British Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, H.E. Robin Ord-Smith, gave a lecture on "Britain after Brexit" for the students of the OSCE Academy.
The title of the lecture was "Ukraine today, its reforms and human rights".
On 25 November 15 students of the MA Programme in Economic Governance and Development were awarded with Certificates of successful completion of the Project Management training.
On November 24, 2016 the OSCE Academy’s staff members met with Mr Hens Jensrud, Legal and Financial Section Senior Adviser from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
