• Ms. Pelkonen visited the OSCE Academy

    On 11 May Ms Annika Pelkonen, Special Adviser of the Permanent Delegation of Finland to the OSCE, visited the OSCE Academy for a short exchange with the MA students within the framework of the Energy Politics module, taught by Dr. Indra Overland from the Norwegian Institute of International Relations (NUPI).


  • Policy Paper Writing Seminar

    On 7 May a week-long international training on policy paper writing started at the OSCE Academy. 12 participants from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Mongolia train their skills in writing policy briefs on various regional topics.


  • OSCE Academy builds-up New Cooperation

    On 3 May 2018 the OSCE Academy and PROVIDUS - Centre for Public Policy signed a Memorandum of Partnership and Cooperation aiming at promoting support to educational and professional initiatives.


  • Alumni in Dushanbe met to discuss Security Issues in the Region

    On 30 April the OSCE Academy alumni in Tajikistan met for the annual Chapter Meeting. This year Dr. Christian Bleuer met graduates in Dushanbe and presented the topic: "Central Asia's Role in the International Security System."


  • Regional Training on Writing of the Technical and Economic Feasibility Studies for Projects

    From 23 to 27 April, the OSCE Academy conducted its regular regional training on writing feasibility studies for investment projects in the context of state development policies (industrial development, export promotion, and infrastructure development).


  • Academy Students visit Coca-Cola Bishkek Bottlers Company

    On 25 April students of the MA Programme in Economic Governance and Development Programme visited the Coca-Cola Bishkek Bottlers Company within the course on “Economic Law” organized by Dr Ulanbek Akmatbaev.


  • President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly meets MA Students

    On 20 April the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly George Tsereteli, accompanied by Dr. Loïc Simonet, Senior External Co-operation Officer of the OSCE Liaison to Brussels-based Institutions and Ms. Farimah Daftary, Programme Officer of the OSCE PA, paid a visit to the OSCE Academy and met students of the MA Programme in Politics and Security.


  • Masterclass: Interviews as Method in the Social Sciences & Humanities

    In July the OSCE Academy is planning to conduct a one-week workshop, which is designed to foster the skillset of post-graduate students of the social sciences and the humanities to conduct and to analyse and interpret interviews.


  • OSCE High-Level Representatives visit the Academy

    On 18 April a delegation of representatives from OSCE institutions, including Ambassador Peṧko, Director of the Conflict Prevention Center, the heads of OSCE Field Missions in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the OSCE Troika, visited the Academy within the framework of their participation in the Regional Heads of Field Missions Meeting in Bishkek.


  • Academy Paper Series is launched

    In April 2018 the OSCE Academy has launched a new series of reports to provide with summary reflections on conferences, workshops and seminars organized by and taking place in the Academy.
