Visit of experts from the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs

On 15-16 February, 2016 Mr. Åsmund Weltzien, Head of the Communications Department of the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI), and Ms. Ane Teksum Isbrekken, Communications adviser visited the OSCE Academy in Bishkek to discuss and develop the Communication Strategy of the Academy.

This visit took place within the framework of a partnership project between the Academy and NUPI. The main objective of the project is to increase awareness of the OSCE Academy through the establishment of professional communication strategy.

During these two days the Norwegian experts and the communication team of the Academy exchanged views on mission, communication goals, channels and tools. The Strategy reflects and promotes core values of the OSCE Academy: quality education, capacity building, relevant research and effective dialogue.

Mr. Åsmund Weltzien also mentioned that the OSCE Academy was included among the Top Think Tanks in Central Asia by the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) at the University of Pennsylvania and it is a certain success rate.

We would like to thank our colleagues from NUPI for support of this workshop and Academy's activities in general!
