New Students started their Path towards the MA Degree

On 4 September our new students begun their MA studies with the first week of the Winter semester. For the academic year of 2018-2019, the MA Programme in Politics and Security welcomed 30 students from Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Russia, while the MA Programme in Economic Governance and Development enrolled 25 students from Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

This year, prior to the MA studies, students were invited to attend a three-week preparatory Summer School, in which they were joined by thirty more interested young graduates from Central Asia coming from related disciplines. On 30 August the Summer School participants received their certificates and the MA students were fully prepared to continue with their full-time studies.

The OSCE Academy offers two graduate programs: the MA in Politics and Security and MA in Economic Governance and Development. These are multidisciplinary programs that give young Central Asian professionals a chance to receive a high quality graduate degree in the region. Curriculum is developed by international team of education specialists and reflects the key trends in the relevant academic fields. Instructors of the Academy come from various countries and regions. The language of instruction is English. By 2018 427 alumni successfully completed those Programmes and joined a regional network of professionals.
