On 3 December OSCE Academy MA in Politics and Security students visited the US Embassy in Bishkek and met Lieutenant Colonel Donald Kyle Perry, US Defense Attaché and Senior Defense Official to the Kyrgyz Republic. Lieutenant Colonel Perry delivered a lecture on the US foreign policy and diplomatic relations with South and Central Asia. He talked about the geopolitical issues, underlining that security and stability are the main concerns for the region. To ensure security and stability, the US government has been providing military support to Central Asia. The US foreign policy in South Asia was another issue discussed by Lieutenant Colonel Perry, which touched mainly Pakistan’s important and active role on resolving regional security. During the Q&A session students asked about the US and International community’s efforts in Afghanistan.
