EGD Students Discuss Energy and Environmental Issue with the OSCE Experts

During the studies at the OSCE Academy, aside from being taught by excellent lecturers and professors, students have an opportunity to meet many experts and practitioners, who join the classes as guest lecturers. Distance learning allows to break geographical borders and expand the circle of experts.  On 16 June students of the MA Programme in Economic Governance and Development met experts from the OSCE in Vienna - Mr. Daniel Kroos, Senior Programme Officer on Energy Security and Ms. Giulia Manconi, Associate Energy Security Advisor to discuss energy politics and energy security within the framework of “Energy Economics” course taught by Dr. Bedelbai Mamadiev.

Guest lecturers told about the mandates on energy and environmental issues at the OSCE with the focus on security of supply. The experts also explained how online trainings are carried out via Virtual Learning and discussed future challenges. At the end of the webinar, students had a chance to ask questions on the above-mentioned issues.

The COVID-19 crisis forced all educational institutions to adjust to a new reality and shift to distance learning. The OSCE Academy's reaction to this challenge was immediate and both MA Programmes continued their studies in line with their curriculum.
