Dr.Burulcha Sulaimanova earned her PhD in Economics from Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University in 2016. Since January 2024 she is serving as a Senior Lecturer at the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Her prior academia experience includes serving as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the OSCE Academy, researching energy economics of Central Asia and an Assistant Professor at the Economics Department of Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, where she was lecturing courses in Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Time Series Analysis and Economic Forecasting.
Her research encompasses diverse topics, such as energy transition and gender, employment vulnerability, education-job mismatch, infrastructure impact on trade. Dr.Sulaimanova has publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals such as The Journal of Development Studies, Asia Europe Journal and International Journal of Manpower.
Dr.Sulaimanova’s contributions have been acknowledged through various awards and honours, including the Certificate of Honor from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2021.
