Project Management Training for Alumni

From 13 till 17 December the OSCE Academy conducted a Project Management training (advance level) for alumni, led by Mr. Peteris Rimss, from the Latvian National Project Management Association (LNPMA) and a Trainer with more than 15 years of experience in the field. This was an intensive 5-day training for graduates of the OSCE Academy, who already have some experience in Project management either in International Organizations, International Non-Governmental Organizations, or other institutions, and needed to advance their knowledge of Project Management for further professional growth. Twelve alumni from Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan had a chance to review all aspects of Project Management reinforced with practical exercises and real examples. Within the training, participants were divided into groups and were tasked to address the real situation and try to implement a project that has overrun the deadlines and budget. In the end, the groups presented all the results to the trainer, who played the role of the owner, evaluated the project and provided a feedback to each team. All participants have successfully passed the test and received the Certificates of Completion.
