On 13 May 2022, Dr. Paradorn Rangsimaporn, a Minister-Counselor and Deputy Head of Mission at the Royal Thai Embassy in Nur-Sultan, covering Thai relations with Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, and an Independent Researcher, visited the OSCE Academy and delivered a guest lecture to the MA students. The visit started with a meeting of Dr. Rangsimaporn with Academy Director Dr. Alexander Wolters, discussing the Academy’s activities and the potential collaboration with Thai universities and institutions. Following the meeting, Dr. Rangsimaporn presented to Academy’s students an overview of Thailand’s foreign policy and his research project on Exploring Greater Engagement between Central Asia and Southeast Asia. Students with a great interest listened to a presentation, drawing a parallel between Thailand and Central Asian countries and actively engaged into a discussion during the Q&A session.
