On 27 June 2024, the OSCE Academy had the honor of welcoming the OSCE Chair-in-Office, Minister for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade of Malta, H.E. Dr. Ian Borg, who visited the Academy as part of his official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Minister was accompanied by Mr. Michael Cluett, Head of Policy & Planning, OSCE Chairpersonship; Mr. Manuel Zarb, Head of Regional and Thematic Issues, OSCE Chairpersonship, Central Asia Desk; Ms. Lillian Langford, Head of the Central Asia Desk, OSCE CPC; Mr. Neville Aquilina, Director-General for Global Issues; and Ambassador Alexey Rogov, Head of the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek.
During his visit, The OSCE Chairperson-in-Office had a meeting with the management of the OSCE Academy to learn about the Academy’s developments and plans. Following the introductory meeting, the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office met with the students of the Academy's MA and BA programmes to discuss their experience at the OSCE Academy.
In his address to the students, Minister Borg outlined the priorities of Malta's 2024 OSCE Chairpersonship and wished students further success in their studies and career development.
