On 13 November 2024 Dr. Bedelbai Mamadiev, Head of the Research and Training Department of the OSCE Academy, chaired a book launch session, titled "Italy-Helsinki 50: From the Helsinki Final Act of 1975 to the OSCE of Today," edited by Ambassador Stefano Baldi—Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the OSCE in Vienna from January 4, 2021, to September 15, 2024—and historian Luciano Monzali. It offers a thorough exploration of Italy's contributions to the development of the Helsinki Accords and the evolution of the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe (CSCE) into the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). This session was part of the event on CSCE-OSCE 50, organized by the OSCE Academy’s partner – University of Siena in Italy, dedicated to the 50 th anniversary of Helsinki Final Act.
