BA Junior students in Economics Visited State Tax Department

On 26 November 2024, students of the BA Programme in Economics class of 2022-2026 had a unique opportunity to participate in an educational excursion to the State Tax Department in Bishkek as a part of the Taxes and Taxation course. The excursion was led by Dr. Ulan Moldokmatov, Associate Professor at the OSCE Academy, whose experience enriched the learning process of the participants. 

During the tour, a representative of the tax service made an interesting presentation on key aspects of the state tax system, including:

1. Procedures and practises of tax administration;
2. Ongoing digitalization is changing the tax system;
3. Future prospects for the development of the tax service and opportunities for students to engage in internships and work placements were presented. 

This interactive experience not only deepened the students' understanding of real-world tax processes, but also highlighted possible career paths in the public finance sector.
