On 22 May 2014 the OSCE Academy Director Dr Pal Dunay addressed the OSCE Permanent Council. Dr Dunay presented the summary of the activities of the OSCE Academy for the past year and outlined several key development priorities for the future. The address highlighted the successful completion of the 9th cohort of the Master in Politics and Security and of the 2nd cohort of the Master in Economic Governance and Development, as well as the set of short-term skill-building professional trainings. Dr Dunay noted that despite the Academy receiving impressive number of applications from Central Asian countries and Afghanistan, more work needs to be done to ensure such intensive interest of similar scale comes from all countries of the region. Next day, on 23 May 2014 the Board of Trustees of the Academy met in Hofburg, Vienna under the chairmanship of the Head of the OSCE Centre in Bishkek, Ambassador Sergey Kapinos. Director Pal Dunay and Deputy Director Shairbek Juraev presented the annual report for 2013, including a comprehensive overview of graduate programmes, trainings, research & publications, alumni relations and finances. Representatives of Finland, Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan delegations were present as well as the Director of the OSCE Conflict Prevention Centre Ambassador Adam Kobieracki and Program Director of the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs, Dr Indra Overland.
