Alumni Breakfast

On 28 February Alumni chapter in Kyrgyzstan was invited to the Alumni Breakfast with Dr Alexey Malashenko, the Chair of the Carnegie Moscow Center’s Religion, Society and Security Programme.  Twenty graduates had a chance to participate in an informal chat and ask Dr Malashenko questions on the political developments in the region and the world.  In particular alumni were interested about the topics of the Russia’s interests in Central Asia and its perception of the region; Russia’s view on current geopolitical situation; pros and cons of the Kyrgyzstan's entrance into the Eurasian Economic Union; influence of the Ukrainian crisis on the regional labor migration; the growth of the Islamic extremism in the region and the world; and etc.
After the Alumni Breakfast, graduates participated in the Open House Day, organized for Bishkek-based candidates interested in the OSCE Academy's MA Programmes.  After the welcoming and presentation of the MA Programmes by the OSCE Academy’s staff, alumni shared their own experience with around 70 potential applicants and together with the Academy’s staff answered their questions related to the admissions and study.
