Between 23 and 25 December 2016, the OSCE Academy in Bishkek organized training on “Research methods for graduate and post-graduate students of social and humanitarian sciences”. Due to the interest and upon the request of the audience this training was conducted for the second time this year, the first one had been held in the beginning of July 2016.
The programme was developed and taught by Dr Nuria Kutnaeva, alumna of the OSCE Academy of 2005, currently working as Inspector at the Defence Council Secretariat of the Kyrgyz Republic and Dr Aijarkyn Kojobekova, Professor at the International Atatürk-Alatoo University.
The programme’s aim is to improve the quality of academic paper writing. During the training, the participants have become familiar with a variety of research methods, learn how to formulate hypotheses and put research questions, how to work on content analysis and etc. Eleven participants from Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan went through rigorous selection process to join the training and successfully completed the programme.
