From 23 November till 3 December the OSCE Academy conducted Project Management training, led by Mr. Ivars Rungis, Chairman of the Board in Latvian National Project Management Association (LNPMA) and a Trainer with more than 20 years of experience in the field. This was an intensive 10-day online training for participants who plan to develop their careers within International Organizations, International Non-Governmental Organizations, etc., and need to improve their theoretical knowledge of Project Management. Sixteen participants from Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan had a chance to review all aspects of Project Management reinforced with practical exercises and real examples. Within the training, participants were divided into groups and were tasked to address the real situation and try to implement a project that has overrun the deadlines and budget. In the end, the groups presented all the results to the trainer, who played the role of the owner and evaluated the project.

Five selected participants received grants for the Official Certification (IPMA Level D), whereas all participants who successfully completed all the assignments received Certificates of Completion. This training is held within the framework of cooperation with LNPMA, established on 14 October 2020.
