The OSCE Academy in Bishkek invites applications for Visiting Teaching Fellow positions in its Bachelor of Arts in Economics programme for the Fall 2025 semester (September–December).
Visiting Teaching Fellows will design and deliver undergraduate-level courses in economics and related fields, engage students through interactive teaching, assess academic performance, and contribute to the intellectual life of the Academy. This is an excellent opportunity for academics seeking short-term international teaching experience in a dynamic and diverse academic setting.
About the OSCE Academy
Founded in 2002 as a partnership between the Kyrgyz Government and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), the OSCE Academy is a regional center of excellence in education, research, and dialogue. Our fully funded programmes attract some of the brightest students from across Central Asia and beyond. The Academy fosters a merit-based, international, and intellectually vibrant environment.
Available Courses (subject to assignment)
Applicants may indicate interest in one or more of the following courses (credit hours in parentheses):

• Energy Economics and Sustainability (2 credits)
• Creative and Knowledge-Based Economy (2 credits)
• Behavioral and Experimental Economics (2 credits)
• Artificial Intelligence in Economics and Policy (2 credits)
Teaching load is up to 9 credits (typically 2–3 courses) for the semester. This is a part-time, short-term appointment, with compensation provided per credit taught.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and deliver undergraduate courses in line with the programme’s academic standards
• Prepare and update course materials, including syllabi and assignments
• Foster an engaging and inclusive learning environment
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students
• Offer academic guidance and support as needed
• Participate in relevant programme or institutional activities
• Address other course-related administrative requirements
Qualifications
• PhD or MA in Economics, Finance, or a related discipline
• At least 3 years of university-level teaching experience
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver academic courses independently
• Excellent command of English
• Familiarity with learning platforms such as Canvas and Zoom
• Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills
