MA Students Explore EU Regional Dynamics with Vice-Marshal Tadeusz Jedrzejczak

On 21 September 2023, students of the MA Programmes had the opportunity to meet Mr. Tadeusz Jedrzejczak, Vice-Marshal of the Lubuskie Voivodeship and the Chairman of the European INTERREG Committee, who was accompanied by his team members - Mr.Radosław Brodzik, Director of the Department of Foreign Cooperation and Mr. Mieczysław Łapanowski. Mr. Jedrzejczak delivered a guest lecture on "The Role of Regions in the European Union." The lecturer discussed the significance of regional development, cohesion policies, and cross-border collaboration in the European Union. Mr. Jedrzejczak provided an overview using the specific example of Lubuskie Voivodeship, a region in western Poland bordering Germany. This included natural resources, science and education institutes, as well as the EU's agreement partners worldwide. The lecture was followed by a Q&A session during which students had the opportunity to ask Mr. Jedrzejczak for insights on various regional challenges and opportunities within the EU.
