OSCE Academy welcomes Delegation from Turkmenistan

On 27 November 2023, the OSCE Academy was honored to welcome Ms. Mahri Bashimova, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, and Mr. Gadam Besherov, Second Secretary, Department of International Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan who paid the first courtesy visit to the OSCE Academy. The esteemed delegation from Turkmenistan was welcomed by H.E. Ambassador Alexey Rogov, Head of the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek, and Dr. Indira Satarkulova, Acting Director of the OSCE Academy.

During the meeting Dr. I. Satarkulova provided a comprehensive overview of the Academy's initiatives, updated the guests on the current educational programmes, research activities, professional trainings, alumni affairs and introduced to the rich partnership and cooperation network established by the Academy. Furthermore, the parties discussed the ongoing admission process; explored potential avenues of cooperation in the educational sector; and expressed mutual optimism regarding implementation of joint initiatives and establishment of fruitful cooperation aimed to expand educational and scientific opportunities for talented students from Turkmenistan. Ms. Mahri Bashimova expressed her heartfelt and strong support of the Academy’s activities.
