OSCE Academy Representatives attend MOCCA Conference in Istanbul

Between 1-5 February 2024, OSCE Academy representatives, Dr. Indira Satarkulova, Deputy Director and Prof. Dr. Erman Akıllı, the OSCE Academy’s Chief Editor, participated in mid-term meeting and the Methods Workshop: “Fieldwork and Data Collection Strategies in (Anti-) Corruption Research” within the research project "MOCCA: Multilevel Orders of Corruption in Central Asia," a Horizon 2020 project led by the University of Lund, Sweden.

The event in Istanbul, Türkiye was a second joint event with a project "Central Asian Law" final conference on Legal cultures and business environments in Central Asia also led by the University of Lund, which in sum gathered around 90 project members, partners, and interested experts from Europe and Central Asia and more who joined online.

MOCCA is a research and staff exchange programme intended to contribute to the global and national efforts of understanding and counteracting corruption by conducting research on the multilevel orders of corruption in five countries in post-Soviet Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan).
