International Certificate Training Programme in Conflict Sensitive Development
16-27 June 2014

Overview of the Programme
Learning objectives: the participants will learn how to analyze economic development projects for countries and territories with ongoing or recent political, military or ethnic conflict. The curriculum covers
(1)  analysis of economic risks associated with conflicts;
(2) principles of good governance in application to situations of conflict;
(3) practical conflict analysis and conflict management.
The training uses recent cases, up-to-date theoretical material and highly interactive training methods.
Venue: OSCE Academy, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
Working Language: English
Costs: Free of charge; travel and accommodation are covered by the programme.
Who can apply?
Junior and mid-level professionals from civil society and governmental organizations from Afghanistan and Central Asia

Central Asian School of Contemporary Journalism
Overview  of the Programme
This course  is developed for early career journalists to help them decrease the gap between university education and employer expectations and give them a holistic concept of the profession, where different media increasingly interact.
Venue: OSCE Academy, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan Course Language: Russian Costs: Free of charge Successful candidates will receive a stipend of 200 Euros. Nonresidents receive an additional 150 Euros per month for accommodation expenses.
Working language: Russian

Who can apply?
Young journalists from Central Asia (not older than 30 years at the time of applying). Candidates should have at least some experience in the media. Applications from practicing journalists without higher education will also be examined.
Candidate specifications: Basic computer skills and fluent Russian

• 3 publications or packages (radio or TV), which were created in the last two years.
• Suggest three materials that you would like to work on during the training programme. Describe the topic, event or story to which material will be devoted to. Describe target audience and information sources that will be used. Also explain the relevance of the material.

Regulatory impact analysis
OSCE Academy invites to training on regulatory impact analysis of laws and regulations and writing feasibility studies of projects in the context of public policy development (industrial development, export promotion, infrastructure development).

Who can apply?

Assistant officers and managers, preferably analytical departments of institutions, ministries and agencies.
How to apply
Application of the organization should include a list of participants with positions, resume of each employee with contact information and name of the person responsible for the coordination of the list
