Midterm Forecast of the foreign policy-making processes in Central Asia

On 3-4 May Director of the OSCE Academy Dr.Pal Dunay participated in the international academic and practical conference “Midterm Forecast of the foreign policy-making processes in Central Asia”.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the expansion of foreign policy processes in Central Asia, to develop recommendations on strengthening cooperation between central Asian countries in preventing risks and threats of the regional security.

The conference was attended by representatives of ministries, international organizations, universities, as well as Ambassadors and representatives of the Parliament of Europe and Asia.

Dr. Pal Dunay spoke on "overcoming differences: the possibility of integration in Central Asia." During the report he highlighted the gaps and challenges in the political, economic and social relations within the region, as well as suggested ways to co-development of the Central Asian republics.
