The OSCE Academy started Conflict Sensitive Development training

On 16 June the OSCE Academy opened a two-week long Certificate programme on Human Rights, Conflict Sensitivity and Project Management. This is an annual training program of the Academy designed for participants from all Central Asian states and Afghanistan. This year, 21 young professionals joined the programme, including, for the first time, a participant from Mongolia.

The international Certificate Training Programme in Conflict Sensitive Development is aimed at strengthening professional capacity of experts from Central Asia and Afghanistan to analyze economic development projects for countries and territories with ongoing or recent political, military or ethnic conflict. The curriculum covers analysis of economic risks associated with conflicts, principles of good governance in application to situations of conflict and practical conflict analysis and conflict management. The training uses recent cases, up-to-date theoretical material and highly interactive training methods.

The training’s modules are developed and delivered by internationally recognized trainers, Dr.Cordula Reimann (Switzerland) and Mr. Augustin Nicolescu (Vienna).
