On 25 August 2022, the closing ceremony of the preparatory Summer School Programme 2022 was held at Issyk-Kul Lake. During the four-week summer school programme, students have been taking intensive courses in Academic Writing, Mathematics for Economists, and Research Methods in Social Sciences, preparing themselves for further studies.
The ceremony started with a welcoming speech from Dr. Alexander Wolters, Director of the OSCE Academy. He congratulated participants on the successful completion of the program and wished them enormous accomplishments in future professional and academic careers. Dr. Indra Overland, Head of Research group on climate and energy, Norwegian Institute of International Affairs, shared parting words and gave some advice for future studies at the Academy. He underlined the successful cooperation between the Academy and NUPI, as well as internship opportunities for students and graduates of the Academy in NUPI. Lecturers also commended the participants and addressed their warm and encouraging words. Following the speeches, Dr. Wolters sand Lecturers of the Summer School awarded certificates to 76 participants - newly accepted students to the Academy's MA Programmes and interested students and young graduates from Central Asia and Mongolia in related disciplines.
