Deputy Director attends the World Rector’s Forum in Bishkek

On 14-15 September 2022, Dr. Indira Satarkulova, Deputy Director of the OSCE Academy, accompanied Ambassador Alexey Rogov, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the OSCE Academy, Head of the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek, to attend the World Rector’s Forum on “The Role of Universities in Building a National Innovation Ecosystem.”  The forum was opened by Mr. Akylbek Zhaparov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan; Mr. Daren Tang, Director General of World Intellectual Property Organization. The programme of the event comprised parallel panel sessions on Entrepreneurship Development, Technology Transfer, and Startups & Incubation. The participants discussed strengthening the scientific and technical capacity and developed practical recommendations for commercialization of the universities’ intellectual activity outcomes and for organizing innovation-focused trainings for universities’ staff.

The forum’s second day was dedicated to International Education and Career EXPO. This expo provided local educational institutions with an opportunity to connect and share comprehensive information about their activities, as well as to establish new international partnerships.
