On 11 January 2014 the OSCE Academy in Bishkek hosted the annual working meeting of the Central Asia Data-Gathering and Analysis Team (CADGAT). Members of CADGAT, including researchers from each of five Central Asian states, and representatives of the OSCE Academy and the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs, discussed the current status of the collaborative data-gathering initiatives and developed the plans for the year of 2014.
CADGAT was established in 2009 by the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) and the OSCE Academy to produce new cross-regional data on Central Asia that can be freely used by researchers, journalists, NGOs and government employees inside and outside the region. The data reviews produced to this day are available at http://www.osce-academy.net/en/research-and-publications/cadgat/.
