On 27-28 August 2024 Dr. Indira Satarkulova, Deputy Director of the OSCE Academy, participated in the The Eighth CAREC Think Tank Development Forum on "Climate Challenge: Thinking Beyond Borders for Collective Action," held in Almaty, Kazakhstan. This event was co-organized by the Eurasian Development Bank together with the CAREC Institute and the Asia Development Bank and other partners to further support the scoping study of CAREC Program "Regional Action on Climate Change: A Vision for CAREC in 2050." Dr. Satarkulova presented on "Climate Change in Kyrgyzstan: Recent Developments and State Policies", within the panel discussion on Navigating Political and Business Landscape: Achieving Financial Sustainability and Fostering Institutional Growth. This Forum brought together policymakers, experts, and leaders from across Asia to advance regional cooperation on climate action. The forum featured presentations, panel discussions, case studies, and interactive sessions designed to foster dialogue and develop actionable strategies for climate resilience in the CAREC region.
