OSCE Academy Welcomes Delegation from the German Federal Foreign Office

On 3 December 2025, the OSCE Academy in Bishkek welcomed H.E. Monika Lenhard, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Kyrgyz Republic, who joined Mr. Matthias Vollert, Head of Division for the Southern Caucasus, Central Asia, and the Eastern Partnership at the Federal Foreign Ministry of Germany.

The delegation was received by Dr. Pal Dunay, Director of the OSCE Academy, Dr. Shairbek Dzhuraev, Deputy Director of the OSCE Academy, and Dr. Sebastian Mayer, DAAD Associate Professor.

The visit provided an opportunity to present the Academy’s mandate, ongoing academic programmes, and research activities, as well as to discuss current and future areas of cooperation with German donors and partners. In this context, the importance of multi-year commitment was emphasized, and REAOR was specifically mentioned as the Academy continues to host Afghan students in all its programmes.

Subsequently, the participants of the meeting addressed the elections in Kyrgyzstan that took place just a few days earlier and shared their assessment.
The guests were given a guided tour of the Academy’s facilities.
