On 14 January 2026, Dr. Pal Dunay, Director of the OSCE Academy attended the first meeting of the Board of Trustees of the year. A broad range of matters were on the agenda ranging from several issues that are essential for the proper functioning of the Academy (funding, visas, taxation, building). When looking into the future, Dr. Dunay reported on the financial situation that has changed favorably compared to a year and also half a year ago. The number of applications for 2026-8 for the three MA programmes exceeded 1'000 by 12 January 2026. It means that there are more than 22 applicants per available place. The application period ends on the 31st of January. The Board discussed the setting up of an Audit and Management Advisory Committee that will help the Academy further meeting international standards in its work. The director also reported concerning the preparation of the Academy for the annual audit.
During his stay in Vienna, Dr. Dunay also met the OSCE delegations of Poland, Switzerland, Turkmenistan and Japan.
