On 6 November students of the Economic governance and development programme together with AUCA students attended a presentation of representatives of the International Monetary Fund on regional economic outlook in the Caucasus and Central Asia.
Presentations were made by Mr. Edward R. Gemayel (Mission Chief, IMF’s Middle East and Central Asia Department) and Mr. Yuri Sobolev (Permanent Representative of the IMF to Kyrgyzstan).
During the presentation students had the opportunity to get information about recent economic developments and challenges for the region and to discuss policy recommendations, including options to enhance resilience to shocks and build long term growth.
