On 17 November a group of Model OSCE Youth Ambassadors and students of The Master of Arts in Politics and Security Programme of the OSCE Academy in Bishkek organized a round table on Contemporary Issues of Central Asia and Afghanistan.
During the event participants discussed the major challenges of the region, the future of Central Asia and how young people can contribute to the regional development.
This event aimed at establishing a communication platform for experts and young professionals to exchange opinions and views on contemporary issues of Central Asia and Afghanistan; informed participants through constructive dialogue about the OSCE field activities. Participants had a chance to share their ideas and plans on the regional development.
The speakers of the round table were Dr. Alexander Wolters – Professor at the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, Dr. Jomart Ormonbekov – Political Officer, UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), Associate Professor at American University of Central Asia, and Dr. Pal Dunay –Director of the OSCE Academy in Bishkek.
This initiative was held with the support of the OSCE Centre in Bishkek and the OSCE Academy in Bishkek.
