Between 19 and 22 December 2016 staff members of the Academy had a working visit to the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) in Oslo, Norway, one of the major partners and donors of the OSCE Academy.
Acting Director Ms Indira Satarkulova met the representatives of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and NUPI to update on current activities and status of the Academy as well as its achievements. The Norwegian Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan H.E. Ole Bjornoy and Senior Adviser of the Legal and Financial Sector of the MFA Mr Hans Jensrud expressed great interest in the Academy’s future plans and ideas.
During the visit Communications and Alumni Affairs Coordinators of the Academy, Ms Bermet Sarlykova and Ms Victoria Orazova participated in the workshop on the development of the Communication Strategy, which is a two-year project within the cooperation between the OSCE Academy and NUPI. Ms Ane Teksum Isbrekken from the Communications Department of NUPI shared the experience on the implementation of the Communication Strategy and gave useful recommendations on various issues.
The visit to Oslo was completed with a small reunion with the alumni residing and visiting Oslo these days. The OSCE Academy expresses its sincere gratitude to NUPI and the Norwegian Government for the continuous partnership and constant support.
