On 18 June the OSCE Academy in Bishkek hosted Mr. Kristian G Moore, Political and Economic Affairs Counselor, U.S. Embassy Bishkek for an online lecture, within the framework of the module on Central Asia and the USA, taught by Dr. Shairbek Dzhuraev to students of the MA Programme in Politics & Security.

At the beginning of the presentation, Mr. Moore provided key principles of U.S. global foreign policy priorities, as well as U.S. cooperation with Central Asia through the C5+1 format.  He also addressed key elements of U.S.-Kyrgyz bilateral relations, including countering terrorism, protecting democratic institutions and human rights, fighting corruption, and strengthening the local business investment climate.

The lecture was held in a hybrid format and was followed by a lively Q&A session.
