Bedelbai Mamadiev is an Associate Professor in Economics. He graduated from Istanbul Technical University (BS in Mechanical Engineering, MS in Industrial Engineering), and defended his PhD at Institute of Economics of the Kyrgyz National Academy of Sciences. Dr. Mamadiev has working experience at a Swiss engineering and consulting company, and a Turkish energy company importing 2,5 bcm of natural gas. Besides, he has 10+ years of HEI teaching experience. Dr. Mamadiev is the Director of Regional Institute of Central Asia (Bishkek based think tank focused on economic, political, social and security issues of Central Asia).

His current research focuses on competitiveness of national economy, specifically human resources development, infrastructure and quality.
