OSCE Academy and the National University of Mongolia sign a Memorandum of Cooperation

On 16 October 2023 within the framework of the official and first visit to Mongolia Dr. Indira Satarkulova, Acting Director of the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, and Victoria Orazova, Head of International Department, visited the National University of Mongolia (NUM) to establish an academic partnership and present the OSCE Academy’s programmes to the NUM students. The OSCE Academy’s representatives were hosted by Prof. Munkhbat Sonomdarjaa, a newly appointed Dean of School of Politics, International Relations and Public Administration, and Prof. Turtogtokh Janar, Chairman, Professor of the Department of Political Science. The OSCE Academy current programmatic activities and research opportunities were introduced to the students of the NUM, interested in joining the Academy’s educational programmes. Following the introduction, the ceremony of singing of the Memorandum of Cooperation has officially institutionalized the agreement of the parties to establish mutual cooperation between the OSCE Academy and the National University of Mongolia. The Parties have also signed a Protocol of collaboration within the Academy’s newly launched MA in Human Rights and Sustainability, jointly implemented with the Global Campus of Human Rights in Venice and co-financed by the EU.  NUM representatives have provided series of published materials and the Mongolian-English dictionary to support the studies of Mongolian students at the OSCE Academy. This visit has been organized with the support of the Permanent Mission of Mongolia to the OSCE in Vienna, the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek.
