Workshop on Regionalism and Regionalization in the Context of Global Transformation

From 1 to 3 July 2024 the OSCE Academy organized a workshop on “Regionalism and Regionalization in the Context of Global Transformation” for MA and BA students of the American University of Central Asia and the OSCE Academy, led by Dr. Sebastian Mayer, DAAD Associate Professor at the Academy. This workshop familiarized students with the multifaceted concepts of “regionalism” and “regionalization”, as well as related terms such as “cooperation”, “integration”, and “community”.  The course also examined the limits of regionalism and regionalization and concluded with considering the links between regional and global governance, particularly regarding the role of regional institutions.
