On 22 November the OSCE Academy in Bishkek organized a round table titled: "The 2016 US Presidential Election: Impact on Central Asia" for the students of the MA Programme in Politics and Security as part of the course "Theory & Issues of International Relations".
Those on the panel were Dr Bermet Tursunkulova, Associate Professor from the American University in Central Asia (AUCA), Dr Kemel Toktomushev, Research Fellow at the University of Central Asia and Research and Teaching Fellow at the OSCE Academy and Mr Payam Foroughi, PhD Candidate at the University of Utah, USA and Teaching Fellow at the OSCE Academy in Bishkek.
The event was moderated by Dr Emil Juraev, Teaching Fellow o the OSCE Academy and AUCA. A total of 29 individuals were in attendance, primarily composed of current OSCE MA students. Following the opening done by Ms Indira Satarkulova, Deputy director of the OSCE Academy in Bishkek and presentations by panelists, the floor was opened to questions by the audience leading to a lively discussion and exchange of ideas.
