On 30 November Ms. Farah Karimi, OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Special Representative on Youth Engagement, visited the OSCE Academy and delivered a guest-lecture to current MA Students. Ms. Karimi was accompanied by Ambassador Alexey Rogov, Head of the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek, Mr. Jantijn Anema, Advisor, Parliament of Netherlands, and Mr. Manuchekhr Salokhudinov, Programme Officer, OSCE PA International Secretariat.

The visit started with a meeting with Dr. Indira Satarkulova, Deputy Director of the OSCE Academy, and a brief presentation about the Academy’s activities. Ms. Karimi expressed her interest in the programmes implemented by the Academy and expressed high interest in meeting MA students personally, to share with them her path of professional development and to discuss with them the topic related to her latest publication "In the name of Freedom: How our world has become increasingly unfree since 9/11." Students were very much interested to listen how Ms. Karimi became a Parliamentarian in the Netherlands as well as discuss what lessons could be learned 20 years after 9/11 and the global political developments that followed this tragic event.
