On 24 April 2015 OSCE Academy organized a meeting of its Dushanbe alumni chapter. Ten graduates of both MA programmes living and working in the capital city of Tajikistan gathered to meet with the OSCE Academy’s staff as well as the featured guest speakers, the Executive Director of Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia (EFCA) in Tajikistan, Mr Ravshan Abdullaev and the EFCA’s international team-member, Dr Artemy Kalinovsky of the University of Amsterdam.

On 28 February Alumni chapter in Kyrgyzstan was invited to the Alumni Breakfast with Dr Alexey Malashenko, the Chair of the Carnegie Moscow Center’s Religion, Society and Security Programme.

By the end of January three alumni successfully completed their internships at the Ministries of Foreign Affairs in Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan under the OSCE Academy’s Junior Public Officers’ Programme.

On 28-30 January 2015 Ms Marhabo Yodalieva, the OSCE Academy’s alumna (MA in Politics and Security, 2010) together with Dr Barbara Janusz-Pawletta, from the German-Kazakh University in Almaty, delivered lectures on Water Governance in Central Asia to the MA in Politics and Security students.

On 12-14 September 2014 the OSCE Academy hosted its 3rd Alumni Conference titled "Central Asia: Comprehensive Security and Sustainable Development".

This call is exclusively targeted at the alumni of the OSCE Academy. Graduates of any year and from either of the Master’s programmes may apply. Two alumni will be selected to spend a year at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI), starting in January 2015 (pending further project funding).

The OSCE Academy in Bishkek and the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) announce a call for applications for a project ‘History writing and nation-building in Central Asia’ that will continue from September 2014 till July 2016 and aim at developing research and publishing skills among OSCE Academy alumni.

On 29 April the OSCE Academy Alumni Network conducted a Chapter meeting in Dushanbe. Fifteen graduates of both MA Programmes have met with the representatives of the GIZ in Tajikistan – Mr Jens Elsner, Deputy Country Director, Dr Igor Eromenko, Senior Economist and Ms Nigina Shukurova, HR Officer.
