On 9 March 2022 the OSCE Academy welcomed a Delegation from the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University for a meeting following the signing ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement on 28 February 2022. Prof. Dr. Serhat Burmaoglu, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Erendor, Head of the International Relations Department, Prof. Dr. Yunus Emre Gurbuz, Director of the Central Asian Research Centre, and Prof. Nuri Korkmaz, Associate Professor of International Relations, met the OSCE Academy Management and discussed the plans and the areas for potential cooperation.

On 7 of March 2022, Mr. Maris Domins, Colonel, Regional Manager of Border Management Programme in Central Asia, Phase 10 (BOMCA10), delivered the lecture ‘Effective border and migration management as important aspect for public safety and regional development in Central Asia’ at the OSCE Academy in Bishkek. This lecture was a part of the course ‘Contemporary Security Issues’ taught by Dr Elena Zhirukhina within MA Programme in Politics and Security.

On 1 March 2022, Dr. Anja Mihr, DAAD Associate Professor at the OSCE Academy, gave an online guest lecture on "30 years independence from the Soviet Union: Central Asia at the Crossroad between Democracy and Autocracy" at the University of Texas, Austin. Dr. Anja Mihr provided an overview of democratic transitions and transformation processes in Central Asian countries since 1991.

On 1 March 2022 the Office of the Co-ordinator of OSCE Economic and Environmental Activities and the OSCE Transnational Threats Department in cooperation with the OSCE Academy in Bishkek organized a Workshop on “Strengthening Youth Crime and Drug use Prevention” in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

On 28 February 2022, Dr. Alexander Wolters, Director of the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, and Prof. Dr. Alpaslan Ceylan, Rector, and Prof. Dr. Asylbek Kulmurzaev, Co-President of the Kyrgyz Turkish Manas University, signed an Academic Cooperation Agreement. The Agreement is designed to foster research and academic collaborations between the two institutions.

On 21 of February 2022, Mr. Giorgi Beridze, Lieutenant-Colonel, Project Coordinator of the Law Enforcement in Central Asia (LEICA), visited the OSCE Academy in Bishkek to meet students of MA Programme in Politics and Security and deliver the lecture ‘First EU Project on Counter Terrorism and Combating Radical Extremism in Central Asia.’

On 22 February 2022 Dr. Alexander Wolters, Director of the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, and Dr. Adrien Fauve, Director of the French Institute for Central Asian Studies (IFEAC), signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Collaboration. The goal the partnership is to establish long-term scientific cooperation between the two institutions aimed at the implementation of joint projects and ideas.

On 15 February 2022 Dr. Rigina Syssoeva, Astana International University and an Associate Research Fellow at the OSCE Academy, delivered a Public Lecture on “Understanding the International Order of the Post-Soviet Region”. Dr. Syssoeva presented the “Non-hegemonic cooperation” model, developed by the American political scientist Robert Keohane and elaborated that Keohane’s model can be applied to the post-Soviet region.

On 4 February 2022, 40 students of the MA Programmes in Politics & Security and in Economic Governance & Development of the class of 2020-2021 received their degrees and graduated from the OSCE Academy in Bishkek. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Graduation Ceremony was held in a hybrid format. While Bishkek-based students joined the ceremony in person, students from other countries of Central Asia, Mongolia, Russia and the USA joined via ZOOM.

On 1 February 2022 Prof. Dr. Jakob Lempp, Associate Research Fellow at the OSCE Academy, and Professor at the Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences, delivered a Public Lecture on "EU and Central Asia Relations". In his presentation, Dr. Lempp talked about EU actions towards Central Asia.
