On 4 February 2026, students from the Economic Governance and Development (EGD) Programme visited the Centre for Economic Modelling and Analysis at the Musa Ryskulbekov Kyrgyz Economic University (KEU) as part of their Economics of Sustainable Development course, taught by Dr. Kiyalbek Akmoldoev.
The visit included a session with Dr. Andrea M. Bassi, Founder and CEO of KnowlEdge Srl., who presented system dynamics and Green Economy Models (GEM) used to assess the economic, social, and environmental impacts of policy decisions. Saikal Esenamanova, Director of the Centre for Economic Modelling and Analysis, introduced Center’s research activities on green economy modelling implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and GIZ.
The meeting concluded with a discussion on research opportunities in sustainability modelling and simulation-based policy analysis.
