On 4 November 2025, the OSCE Academy in Bishkek welcomed Mr Santeri Leinonen, Special Representative on Youth, Peace and Security of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office (CiO), and Ms Marjo Kaller, First Secretary at the Permanent Mission of Finland to the OSCE. The delegation was accompanied by Ms Guljamal Tokombaeva, National Programme Officer at the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek (POiB).

On 29–30 October 2025, the OSCE Academy in Bishkek hosted a two-day training titled “Digital Security and Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Governance.” The training aimed to enhance civil servants' digital competencies, raise their awareness of cyber threats, and strengthen the skills needed for the safe and effective use of innovative technologies in public administration and environmental management.

Between the 20 and the 24 October 2025, the Director and the Deputy Director of the OSCE Academy, Dr. Pal Dunay and Dr. Shairbek Dzhuraev stayed in Vienna. The Academy reported to the OSCE Permanent Council (PC) on the 23 October, and to the Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting on the 24 October. During the visit they met several OSCE delegations, in most cases accompanying the Head of the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek (POiB), Ambassador Dr. Volker Frobarth, who was unanimously elected as Chairman of the Board of the Trustees of the OSCE Academy at the BoT meeting.

On 27 October 2025, the OSCE Academy in Bishkek hosted the launch of Dr. Kuat Akizhanov’s book, Political Economy of Kazakhstan: From Neoliberal Dogma to Social Catastrophe. The event brought together MA students, faculty, and external participants. The event was opened by Dr. Shairbek Dzhuraev, Deputy Director of the OSCE Academy, who also moderated the subsequent discussion of the book's themes. Dr. Akizhanov briefly introduced the book, and the floor was opened for discussion.

From 6 to 10 October 2025, representatives of the OSCE Academy visited the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA) in Romania as part of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Programme. The visiting team included Ms. Katya Argynova, Librarian of the OSCE Academy, Ms. Cholponai Kanatbekova, Junior Finance Specialist, and Ms. Nazgul Kadyrova, BA Specialist. During their stay, the representatives met with Prof. Mihail Cercel, Dean of the Department of International Relations and European Integration, and Dr. Ana-Maria Costea, Institutional Erasmus+ Coordinator at SNSPA. The meetings served as a platform for exchanging experiences and discussing academic processes, including the admissions process and the course credit system.

On 27 October 2025, the OSCE Academy in Bishkek hosted an interactive lecture and discussion on “International Law Through Film” by Dr. Stefan Ziegler, Faculty Member at the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights and an Associate Professor at the Geneva School of Diplomacy. He is also a documentary filmmaker focusing on International Humanitarian Law.

On 24 October 2025, the OSCE Academy in Bishkek hosted an interactive session titled “Building a Career in International Peace and Security: Lessons from the UN and Beyond” with Dr. Jomart Ormonbekov, Political Affairs Officer at the UN Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA) in New York. MA students participated in the discussion, where Dr. Ormonbekov shared his extensive professional experience in diplomacy, preventive diplomacy, and multilateral cooperation.

On 23 October 2025, Mr. Stefan Mayer, a member of the German Bundestag’s Foreign Affairs Committee and the CDU/CSU parliamentary group’s rapporteur for Central Asian countries, along with Mr. Constantin Zelenty, Deputy Head of Mission at the German Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, visited the OSCE Academy in Bishkek.

On 21 October 2025, OSCE Academy representatives participated in the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Women’s Business Forum 2025, dedicated to the theme Together for Green Innovation and Gender Equality. The event took place in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and brought together key experts on gender equality and green innovation, awardees of the CAREC Gender and Green Innovation Awards 2025, members of the Regional Gender Expert Group, and development partners.

From 20 till 24 October 2025, Dr. Emil Dzhuraev, Senior Lecturer at the OSCE Academy, participated in the Erasmus International Week “Moving towards seamless mobility,” organized by the University of Valencia in Spain. This visit was part of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility under the Agreement between the OSCE Academy and University of Valencia. With participants from more than a dozen universities and counties, the event was devoted to making the most out of the Erasmus cooperation and exchange programmes.
