On 26 March 2026, the OSCE Academy welcomed representatives of the Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship (GSBE): Mr. Ikbolzhon Kasimov, Head of the Department of Scientific Research and Grants, and Mr. Anton Kostyuchenko, Main Specialist at the Project Office for the Promotion and Implementation of the Green Economy. The GSBE works under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan.
The guests were welcomed by Dr. Pal Dunay, Director of the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, and Dr. Burulcha Sulaimanova, Head of the Research and Training Department. This was the first visit of GSBE representatives to the OSCE Academy. The meeting began with an introductory presentation by Dr. Dunay, who provided an overview of the Academy’s mission, academic programmes, and its role as a regional platform for higher education and dialogue in Central Asia. Dr. Sulaimanova followed with a presentation on the Academy’s research activities, highlighting ongoing research initiatives, publications, and policy-oriented work conducted by the Research and Training Department. Dr. Sulaimanova also presented on the teaching and research activities of the Academy in economic and environmental issues. Ther representatives of the Graduate School informed about the broadening of its activities partly as far as adding other programmes to the Master of Business Administration and reaching out beyond the teaching of civil servants to the private sector.
The conversation focused on potential areas of cooperation, particularly joint research activities and collaborative projects, including joint applications and the building of a network to increase research capacity. The meeting concluded with an exchange of ideas on future collaboration and opportunities for strengthening academic and research partnerships between the two institutions. The meeting demonstrated extensive shared interests between GSBE and the OSCE Academy, both aiming to increase their network and embeddedness in Central Asia.
