On 2-4 April 2025, the OSCE Academy and Global Campus Central Asia (GC CA) representatives visited Tashkent to meet partners and conduct admission examinations for the MA Programmes. On 2 April, Dr. Anja Mihr, MAHRS Academic Director, Ms. Victoria Orazova, Head of the International Department, and Ms. Aiym Chotoeva, MAHRS Programme Specialist, met representatives of the UN and the OSCE to discuss future joint activities to further deepen the regional embeddedness of the OSCE Academy and the GC CA in Central Asia On 3 April, the Academy’s representatives visited two partner Universities – the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) and the Central Asian University of Environmental and Climate Change Studies (Green University).

At UWED, the meeting was held with Dr. Akram Umarov, First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Serikbek Murataliev, Dean of the International Law Faculty, Ms. Gavkhar Mirkhalilova, Head of the International Academic Cooperation Office, and Ms. Fatima Mirakilova, International Academic Partnerships Coordinator, to talk over the continuation of academic mobilities and the organization of joint regional events. At the Green University the Rector, Prof. Bakhtiyor Pulatov, Mr. Sokhib Xizirov, Head of the International Cooperation Department, and Ms. Pokiza Juraeva, Chief Specialist, International Cooperation Department met the team of the OSCE Academy. During the meeting, the Parties discussed the launch of academic mobility and possibilities of organizing joint activities on the issues related to environment, climate change, climate justices, and sustainable development. The meeting was concluded by signing an Academic Exchange Agreement between Green University and the OSCE Academy.

Following the meeting, Dr. Mihr delivered a guest lecture to students of the Green University and UWED on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Central Asia. Students were actively engaging in the discussion and asked a number of questions on the implementation of SDGs in the region and the world, and on transitional justice. Students also had a chance to hear more about the different MA Programmes at the OSCE Academy and opportunities they provide.
