On 19 May 2026, the OSCE Academy welcomed Dr. Mary Stegmaier, Political Science Professor and Vice Provost for International Programs at the University of Missouri. She first met with Dr. Pal Dunay, Director of the OSCE Academy, and Ms. Victoria Orazova, Head of International Department, to learn about the history of the OSCE Academy and its activities, and discuss possible areas for cooperation. Dr. Stegmaier was an OSCE election observer in Kyrgyzstan three times and has devoted interest in the development of Central Asia.
Dr. Stegmaier kindly made a presentation regarding funding opportunities for MA and PhD programmes in the US, and a wide range of programmes at the University of Missouri, in those fields where the OSCE Academy has programmes. The students who attended the event devoted keen interest and asked several questions on the topic.
