On 15 October 2026, the OSCE Academy in Bishkek welcomed an Austrian delegation comprising H.E. Andrea Bacher, Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to the Republic of Kazakhstan, concurrently accredited to the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan, and H.E. Thomas Muehlmann.
The delegation met with Dr. Pal Dunay, Director of the OSCE Academy; Dr. Burulcha Sulaimanova, Senior Lecturer in the MA in Economic Governance and Development Programme; Ms. Victoria Orazova, Head of the International Department; and Dr. Zhyldyz Tegizbekova, Senior Lecturer in the MA in Human Rights and Sustainability Programme. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the Academy’s current activities and academic programmes, as well as Austria’s continued support for its work.
In the second session, the delegation met with students for an informal exchange, providing an opportunity for direct dialogue with the Academy’s international student community. The visit concluded with a short tour of the Academy, during which the guests became acquainted with its facilities and learning environment.
