On 2 April 2026, students from the BA in Economics cohort 2024–2028 visited the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic as part of their History of Kyrgyzstan course, organized by Dr. Bakhtiiar Igamberdiev. During the visit, students learned about the work of the country’s highest legislative body. They toured the assembly halls where plenary sessions, meetings, and parliamentary discussions take place.
A highlight of the visit was the museum located within the Jogorku Kenesh building, which showcases materials reflecting the history of parliamentarism in Kyrgyzstan. The excursion provided students with a deeper understanding of the country’s political system and the role of parliament in decision-making processes, while also helping bridge theoretical knowledge with practical experience. Such field visits are an important part of the educational process and contribute to broadening students’ perspectives on state institutions.
